THE INAFRIKA BAND PROFILE
The Inafrika band was formed in 1992 by two brothers (Enrico and Roy figueiredo) .The band at the time was mosltly a cover band and performed in small pubs and restaurants in dar city.cassanova,smokies tavern,arcade ,wet n wild etc.The band then had a permanent contract with the KILIMANJARO HOTEL in 1996 also had performances in different venues with international artists like YVONNE CHAKA CHAKA,MWALE SISTERS,SARAFINA.
In the year 2000 the band split on different aspects and was formed again and recorded its first album the Indege album was recorded in 2001which got the band an award in the local KILIMANJARO AWARDS in 2003/4 for the best traditional song category and then the band was popular and performed for many Miss Tanzania events,cooperate functions and the national parliament.The band got an invitation to south korea for the world culture program.The band also travelled to the UAE,S.AFRICA,The comoro islands mayotte.The band is currently with MOTHER AFRICA SHOW which is based in hamburg,germany.The band is with the show since 2006 and has performed all over europe,Australia and asia during winter time.The band has currently recorded a new album titled mbeleko.the band performs a variety of jazz african,latin ,european and other world music .

2.Roy figueiredo -Band leader,Bass,vocals.
3.Nurdin athumani - lead guitar,vocals.
4.Pompidou dominic- percussion,vocals.
5.Ritchie mwanisawa-drums vocals
6.Hamisi mlenge - Saxaphone,trumpets, flute,vocals.
7.Steve john - lead vocals.
